The Album Party Politics by G-STAR features music originating from the twin Island Trinidad and Tobago. The country was once rich in natural gas and oil. To Date the country is experiencing economic difficulties. The middle class is being forced to a lower standard of life as the value of the TT Dollar decreases. G-Star born in a very poor community Morvant Laventille managed to get out of the ghetto and in to the middle class society. He used his talent and creativity to push his way forward through life. He started as a song writter, writing songs for known soca artistes in Trinidad and Tobago, then moved on to learning more about being an artiste. Along that journey G-Star was heavily influenced by Chinese Laundry and Iwer George, both of whom own radio stations. G-Star became a radio announcer, working on different stations for a duration of seven years. During these seven years G-Star saved and invested his money in renting vehicles. With spare time as an announcer, working four hours a day, G-Star decided to pursue a degree in business marketing, and soon invested in a recording studio, EM Studios. At that time he then concentrated on developing other local and regional artistes. To this date he believes, it is time he let his voice be heard. He said in many interviews “The people of Trinidad and Tobago only misbehaves (party, winning, drinking, carefree action) for carnival and it is time the people start getting concerned about the country. The politicians are raping the economy year after year, and have been taking advantage on the poor people and no one stands up, some may protest for a couple of hours but not much people stand up for their rights.” G-Star is now doing his part to bring that awareness to the nation.
